Horseradish is not only a tasty and healthy seasoning.
Gradually the plant turns into a weed that is extremely difficult to remove from the garden.
Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, scientist agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , we figure out how to get rid of a plant that has become unnecessary and dangerous.
The first thing you need to do is dig up the overgrown horseradish bushes, making sure that not a single root is left in the ground. However, the work does not end there.
It is also necessary to dig up the area of land located close to the thickets, since the plant has a powerful and developed root system.
After removing the plants from the soil, the area where they grew should be sprinkled with salt or generously watered with a saline solution.
If the weed bushes have grown too much, you can treat the soil with herbicides. But in this case, be careful, because the chemicals can harm other plantings.
