Every summer resident dreams of his rose bushes blooming as long as possible, right up until autumn.
However, it is not always possible to achieve exactly this result.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how to make sure that roses delight you with their buds all season long.
According to the expert, it is important to resort to one very simple but effective trick.
Your garden will be filled with luxurious, fragrant flowers if you make it a rule to prune your rose bushes in a timely manner.
So, in particular, it is necessary to cut off faded and diseased inflorescences in time so that they do not take away the plant’s strength for flowering.
If you have a variety growing on your plot that has large single buds, you will need to cut off the entire dried stem.
As for perennials, in this case you will have to remove each individual wilted flower.
Important note: pruning of roses should be done with tools pre-treated with alcohol, so as not to provoke the spread of pathogenic fungi to the plants.
