4 rules for caring for an apple tree
To harvest annually, you must adhere to the following rules.
Proper pruning. During this type of work, you need to get rid of all dry branches and branches growing inward to the tree crown.
Thinning. If an apple tree produces too many ovaries, it may then shed some of them, since they all lack nutrition. In this case, you can thin out the ovaries yourself, leaving 15-20 leaves on each.
Watering. When the tree forms ovaries, blooms and produces shoots, do not forget to pour two ten-liter buckets of water under the apple tree.
Fertilizing. Trees require nutrient application three times:
- in spring it is necessary to feed the apple tree with 2 tablespoons of nitroammophoska.
- during flowering, add 1 tablespoon of superphosphate and sulfate;
- during the fruit setting period - 2 tablespoons of superphosphate and 1 tablespoon of potassium sulfate.
