To grow an enviable harvest, it is important not only to choose high-quality seeds and a unique variety.
It is also necessary to provide the plantings with good care throughout the entire period of fruit ripening.
Expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh gave 3 pieces of advice that all experienced gardeners who grow cucumbers use.
Cucumbers should not be forced to "crowd". There should be at least 60 cm between plants in a row and 120 cm between rows.
If cucumbers are grown vertically, they can be planted more densely – 40-50 cm from each other.
When watering, you should completely forget about cold water. It is because of it that the fruits taste bitter. It is better to use slightly warm water for watering.
And it is better to moisten the soil after 18:00, when it is not so hot.
Some gardeners doubt whether it is necessary to pinch cucumbers. Experienced gardeners always do it.
And this is necessary not only for cultivating the garden bed. It will also significantly increase the harvest.
Earlier we talked about three plants that should not be planted after cucumbers.
