Many weeds that grow on the site can become the basis of a powerful remedy.
Horsetail is no exception. With the right approach, it can be transformed from a malicious weed into a reliable ally.
Horsetail has antiseptic and fungicidal properties. Therefore, it is acceptable to use it to protect garden and vegetable plants from diseases.
For example, against late blight, alternaria, cladosporiosis, bacterial spot, powdery mildew, etc.
First, a simple decoction is prepared. Half a kilo of raw material is poured with warm water and infused for a day. After 24 hours, the infusion is boiled for 30 minutes.
When the broth has cooled, strain it and bring the total volume to 10 liters.
Next, it remains to spray the plants. Foliar treatment is carried out once every 10-14 days.
As a bonus, the decoction repels insect pests and strengthens the plant’s immunity.
Horsetail is a valuable component in creating liquid compost or herbal infusion for plant feeding.
In this case, the weed is thrown into the "fermenter" with roots. During decomposition, the green fertilizer receives silicon. This is an excellent free and completely natural remedy.
If plants receive enough silicon, they grow strong and more resistant to adverse environmental conditions. Weather surprises will not make the plantings capitulate at the first opportunity.
