Sometimes summer residents face such a problem as the absence of berries on the bushes.

It is necessary to understand what mistakes were made when growing currants, so as not to completely lose the harvest.

Why are there no berries on the currants?

The first mistake many gardeners make is improper pruning. It is recommended to prune bushes regularly when they are 5 years old or older.

In this case, you need to adhere to certain rules, that is, it is not recommended to spare extra shoots that thicken the bush, and dry branches.

The second reason, beyond your control, is that the bush has simply grown old. Currants that are already more than 10 years old begin to produce fewer and fewer berries.

That is why it is better to say goodbye to old bushes without regret, so as not to be upset later due to the lack of a harvest.

Reason #3 - watering errors. Currants need to be watered regularly, with at least three buckets of water required for each bush every 10 days.
