An expert of the online publication "TUT NOVOSTI", agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how onion peels are useful for seedlings.
An infusion of this “garbage” strengthens the delicate seedlings, increasing their protection against pests and diseases.
In terms of the amount of nutrients, the husk is also a leader. It contains vitamins A, C, PP, group B, potassium, phosphorus, iron.
How to make an infusion from the husk
Two handfuls of husks should be poured with a liter of boiling water.
You need to add a couple of spoons of wood ash here, then mix thoroughly and leave in a dark place for 2-3 days.
Next, strain the infusion and dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:3. The product can be used to water sown seeds or young seedlings.
