Many gardeners like violets because they are very unpretentious.
In order for this plant to delight you with beautiful and bright flowers, it needs to be properly cared for.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about mistakes in caring for violets that are best avoided.
The flower will grow poorly if the lighting is chosen incorrectly. Moreover, not only its excess is harmful, but also its lack.
Too much sun can harm the plant. Direct sunlight is especially dangerous for it.
Violet leaves are quite delicate and can therefore become burnt.
Over-watered soil is harmful to violets. Therefore, this plant should be watered in moderation.
If there is too much moisture, the soil will start to sour. This can also lead to mold and rot on the roots.
Therefore, you need to water the violet only after the soil has dried out.
When spraying, water may remain on the hairs of the leaves. As a result, this can create favorable conditions for the appearance of fungus.
Therefore, it is better to wash violet leaves under running water.
Moreover, this needs to be done once every few months. It is only important that too much moisture does not get into the soil.
If the violet grows in a large pot, then you should not expect it to bloom.
To do this, the plant's roots must cover the entire root ball.
The volume of the pot should be twice the volume of the rosette of leaves.
The violet needs to be fed periodically. It is advisable to do this at least once a month.
Just remember that an excess of fertilizers can harm the flower.
So when feeding, you should strictly follow the instructions.
