February is gradually drawing to an end, which means that with its end a thaw will set in.

Not all gardeners know, but during this period the plot needs the attention of summer residents the most.

Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained what exactly you should pay attention to during the snow melting and the arrival of spring.

According to the expert, it is worth considering three very important, but fairly easy to implement aspects.

Shading trees

Fruit and ornamental trees that are still dormant are most vulnerable to the effects of sunlight.

To prevent the sun from burning dormant crops, throw white covering material on them. You can additionally throw snow around the tree trunks.

Trampling snow

This method is suitable for latitudes where recurrent frosts are possible.

To prevent the root system of plants from being damaged by temperature changes, trample the snow. It will be compressed and will not allow excess heat to harm the roots.

Melt water drainage

Excess moisture will no longer be a problem if you construct special grooves.

The depressions should be formed from the root collar zone and plant roots. Flower beds can suffer the most from melt water - take note of this.

Earlier we talked about what to put in a pot so that indoor plants bloom profusely.
