3 Common Grape Pests

One of the most dangerous pests is considered to be phylloxera, which is a miniature insect similar to an aphid.

The insect attacks the grapevine, which can lead to the death of the entire vineyard. Swellings appear at the site of the insect's feeding, which then lead to necrosis.

The nail leaf roller, which looks like a small brown butterfly, is also dangerous for the vineyard. The caterpillars of this pest destroy buds and ovaries, but it is also dangerous because the second generation feeds on grapes.

The Turkish grape weevil is a black weevil that begins to destroy grape buds in the spring, and then those leaves that manage to bloom.
