VTB bought Pochta Bank
It became known about the deal concluded between VTB and Russian Post.
The company sold its stake in Pochta Bank.
This statement was made by the head of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, during his speech at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Shadayev, the deal cost VTB 36 billion rubles. This money is an additional amount that Russian Post will receive for its development.
It is noted that the initial amount of the deal, announced in October by the head of VTB, was estimated at 72 billion. This is how much the capital of Pochta Bank was estimated at.
At the same time, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Central Bank approved the conclusion of this deal between VTB and PR.
According to Shadayev, the above-mentioned transaction amount should be received by Russian Post in December.
However, the integration of the two banks will not happen immediately. VTB Bank announced that Pochta Bank will join the financial organization that bought it within two years - by 2027.
