Since October 2024, VTB Bank has introduced a temporary restriction on the issuance of credit cards.
Now clients can receive only one card per hand.
This decision is connected with the tightening of the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Russia, writes RBC .
VTB explained its decision by the new conditions established by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
The bank emphasized: "The financial burden on clients has been reduced in order to prevent them from becoming over-indebted."
VTB, like other banks, has been temporarily approving only one credit card per client since October.
The restriction will not affect clients who had several VTB credit cards before the restriction was introduced.
Starting in October, new clients will be able to apply for only one VTB card.
Similar measures are also in place at other major Russian banks.
