Vologda Oblast plans to harvest at least 180 thousand tons of grain
This year, a large amount of grain is expected to be harvested in the Vologda region.
Its expected quantity is no less than 180 thousand tons.
Acting Governor of the region Georgy Filimonov observed the harvesting campaign. He also inspected the agricultural land of the Zarya enterprise in the Vologda District.
Currently, with a yield of 27 centners per hectare, the amount of threshed grain has amounted to over 60 thousand tons of grain. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the acting governor of the region.
It is noted that the indicator is high in 2024. Compared to last year, this year it has almost doubled.
According to the press service, grain harvesting began in August. If the weather is favorable, grain harvesting should be completed in mid-September.
It was also noted that last year the amount of grain harvested in the Vologda region amounted to 210.7 thousand tons.
It is added that the preparation of feed is carried out in favorable weather conditions.
