US expands sanctions against Russia
It has become known about new restrictive measures that the United States has taken against Russia.
Washington has decided to expand anti-Russian sanctions.
RIA Novosti reports this, citing a message distributed by the US Treasury Department.
According to the financial department, sanctions are being introduced against 400 individuals and legal entities. Moreover, the new sanctions list includes both Russians and individuals outside of Russia.
It is noted that the restrictive measures affected individuals and legal entities from Asia, Europe and the Middle East, which, according to the American department, are involved in circumventing previously adopted sanctions and allegedly support Russia's military actions.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the new sanctions package was adopted in connection with Ukraine's Independence Day.
In particular, the following were subject to restrictions:
- "Norilsk Nickel Technical Services";
- Moscow Jewelry Factory;
- Yakut fuel and energy company;
- Alardinskaya and Yesaulskaya mines;
- Korshunovsky Mining and Processing Plant and other companies.
