The State Duma is outraged by the sharp rise in housing prices in Russian regions.

Deputy Anatoly Aksakov stated that developers have doubled prices in recent years.

According to him, they are deliberately keeping the price high, expecting favorable conditions. This is reported by RIA Novosti .

Developers have simply become brazen, doubling prices, said Aksakov.

He stressed that life will force them to sell their homes at market prices.

The Central Bank also noted earlier a decrease in prices for new buildings in the regions. The head of the regulator Elvira Nabiullina noted that the growth in housing prices has almost doubled the increase in wages over the past 4 years.

The preferential mortgage program in Russia ended in the summer of 2023. Experts predict an increase in housing affordability for citizens.

However, deputies point out that the current situation on the housing market requires intervention. According to Aksakov, developers should start reducing prices.
