The United States has resorted to new restrictive measures against Russia.
Now one of the largest tire manufacturers in Russia, the company Cordiant, has fallen under sanctions.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to a document distributed by the US Treasury Department.
Now one of the items on the list of sanctioned enterprises and individuals is the joint-stock company “Cordiant”.
The owner of the Severgroup concern, Alexey Mordashov, acquired this company in early October. As of October 1, he became the owner of shares in the tire manufacturing company, and this deal was approved by antitrust authorities.
It is noted that the said company produces well-known brands of tires for passenger cars, such as Cordiant, Tunga, Torrero, Gislaved, as well as a line of tires for trucks: Cordiant Professional and Tyrex.
At the same time, in Russia they have repeatedly spoken out about the ineffectiveness of restrictive measures, which primarily worsen the lives of ordinary people.
