The State Duma spoke about a pension increase for some Russians in 2025
Deputy Svetlana Bessarab spoke about a pension supplement for some categories of Russians.
In 2025, two categories of citizens will receive it, said a member of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy.
Bessarab clarified that next year, disabled people of group I and Russians over eighty years of age will receive an additional payment to their basic pension, RIA Novosti reports.
The supplement will amount to 1,200 rubles. The parliamentarian indicated that indexation is provided for the additional payment. It will increase as part of the corresponding pension.
If a person receives two pensions, the additional payment will be added to one of them.
Bessarab emphasized that in 2024, approximately 2,500,000 Russians will receive this supplement.
The Social Fund believes that in 2025 the number of recipients of the additional payment could double and reach approximately 5,000,000 people.
