The LDPR party intends to introduce a bill to the State Duma to prohibit the transfer of pension points to parents.
It is indicated that Russians will be allowed to transfer no more than two pension points in this way per calendar year.
The authors of the initiative indicated: “It will be possible to give one point to each parent,” as reported by the Izvestia newspaper.
In particular, Russian citizens will be able to give two points to a single parent.
Today, in order to qualify for old-age pension payments, a minimum of 15 years of work experience and 30 pension points are required.
It should be noted that the amount of pensions is directly affected by the number of points.
If the LDPR bill is adopted, the points that children pass on to their parents will allow the latter to retire earlier.
It is also reported that under such circumstances the parent will retire with increased pension payments.
