Russia plans to increase support for pensioners.
By the end of the year, a bill on the annual payment of the 13th pension to pensioners will be submitted to the State Duma.
Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov reported this in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
Chernyshov noted that the bill on the annual payment of the 13th pension does not lose its relevance in the context of high inflation.
He plans to revise the document, which had not previously received support, taking into account the experts’ comments.
According to Chernyshov, the increase in wages will partially compensate for inflation.
He stressed that the incomes of pensioners, who are less protected, are not keeping pace with rising prices.
Amendments to the bill will concern the amount of the payment.
Chernyshov emphasized that the pre-New Year payment could be the same for all pensioners.
The revised bill will be reintroduced to the State Duma before the end of the year.
According to Chernyshov, the payment should be the same for everyone, while the pension amount varies according to a number of parameters.
