The State Duma has proposed a new benefit for large families
The head of the State Duma Committee for the Protection of the Family, Nina Ostanina, proposed introducing a new benefit for members of large families.
In particular, Ostanina put forward an initiative according to which large families should be allowed free travel on toll roads.
The deputy sent the bill to the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, as reported by RIA Novosti .
The document states: “I request that permission be introduced for large families to cross toll roads and road sections without payment.”
The essence of the initiative
The request also calls for exempting members of large families from paying the tourist tax.
The corresponding payment will be introduced in all Russian regions from 2025. It will be a percentage of the cost of living.
Ostanina’s document refers to the Decree “On measures of social support for large families.”
The deputy, in turn, emphasizes that he receives requests from large families asking to expand benefits.
