The State Duma has called for increased funding for engineering schools
State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin stated the need to increase funding for engineering schools.
According to the parliamentarian, the beneficial and high-quality creation of innovative technologies will make Russia competitive in the relevant market.
For this reason, Volodin believes, the relevant educational institutions should be properly financed, as reported by RIA Novosti .
The official noted: "The best should come to engineering specialties. For this, it is necessary to create the necessary conditions."

Volodin also pointed out that the future of Russia depends on the quality of the personnel being trained.
The MP added: "There are many successful examples of situations where good funding has been beneficial."
In particular, the Chairman of the State Duma recalled the situation when the university was entrusted with the design of the first electric vehicle in Russia.
According to the official, the additional funds will help purchase high-quality equipment for future scientists and engineers.
