State Duma deputies from the LDPR party reported that they have developed an initiative to increase child care benefits up to 1.5 years.
It is reported that the relevant act was sent to the Russian government for withdrawal.
The explanatory note states: “The minimum benefit must be in a strictly defined amount,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
Thus, in particular, the amount of the payment should be equal to one hundred percent of the “subsistence minimum for children in the region.”
In addition, officials stated the need to increase child care benefits to 60 percent.
The indicated amount, according to the authors of the initiative, should be deducted taking into account the average earnings of the parent.
LDPR deputies claim that such an approach will be a good help for Russians with children, and will also improve the standard of living of such families.
Officials also emphasized that improving the quality of life of Russian families will increase the level of demography in the country.
