The Russian Ministry of Agriculture wants to adopt the banana experience of a neighboring republic
Russia is interested in the experience of Kazakhstan, which has mastered the technology of growing bananas.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Oksana Lut, discussed the prospects of this area of plant growing.
The minister said that last week she visited Kazakhstan, where she became familiar with the technology of growing bananas in greenhouses, Interfax reports.
Lut noted that Russia has taken note of the neighboring republic's experience. But there is no talk of implementation yet: "Maybe we will come to this too."
The head of the department emphasized that for now this project is not economically viable, since products from Ecuador are cheaper.
But at the same time, Luth pointed out that “everything is changing,” so it is possible that the Russian Federation will also begin to master this technology.
