According to research, Russians are increasingly less likely to keep their money at home.

The share of those who prefer to keep cash at home has fallen from 32% to 20% in just one year.

The changes were influenced by several key factors, RIA Novosti writes.

First of all, Russians have become more financially literate. More and more people understand that it is more profitable to keep money in the bank.

Interest rates on bank deposits have increased significantly and have become attractive to depositors.

Now many people realize that money in an account can generate income, rather than losing its value due to inflation.

A stable situation in the financial market also plays an important role.

Previously, many Russians were afraid to keep money in banks due to economic risks.

However, now that the financial system is more stable, people trust banks more.

There has been an increase in the number of citizens who keep money both at home and in banks – from 10% to 25%.

The number of those who prefer to accumulate savings in banks has also increased sharply – from 9% to 55%.

Of this group, 45% have one deposit, 25% have two, and 15% have more than four deposits.
