The Ministry of Labor has announced the amount of the single child benefit
The Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov spoke about financial support for families with children.
One of the main measures in this case is a monthly single benefit for children from birth until they reach 17 years of age.
Kotyakov reported that the average payment is about 15 thousand rubles per month, RIA Novosti reports.
The head of the department emphasized that the state annually allocates 1.7 trillion rubles in the budget for these purposes.
According to the official, this payment equalizes the average income of families with children.
The measure had an impact on overall economic indicators. For example, in May 2024, the payment helped reduce the poverty rate in the country to 8.5%.
The authorities plan to reduce the poverty level to below 7% by 2030. In another six years, officials expect to achieve a figure below 5%.
Earlier, deputy Leonid Slutsky proposed introducing tax breaks for those who purchase Russian developments.
