Vladimir Putin's press secretary assured that the weakening of the ruble will not affect ordinary Russian citizens.

Dmitry Peskov explained why Russians should not worry about the situation on the currency market.

A Kremlin spokesman indicated that Russian citizens receive their wages in rubles, not dollars, Life reports.

Peskov also noted that the authorities’ efforts are aimed at strengthening the ruble’s position in the international arena.

In particular, in trade, Moscow tries to use national currencies for settlements.

For example, when working with Kazakhstan, the parties pay in rubles and tenge.

On Wednesday, November 27, the Russian currency continued to weaken against the dollar and euro on the over-the-counter market.

For the first time since March 2022, the American currency rose to 114 rubles, and the euro reached 120 rubles.

Against this background, the Central Bank had to take additional measures.
