The children poisoned in Krasnoyarsk Krai presumably died from the toxic effects of an unidentified substance.
The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region reported this on its Telegram channel.
Earlier, the regional investigative committee reported that a family including four children was poisoned after eating chicken and dumplings from a store in the village of Krasnaya Sopka.
On Saturday, September 21, all family members developed symptoms of food poisoning. Three children later died in hospital.
As part of the investigation, investigators inspected the house and seized food and other substances.
According to medical experts, the children's death was preliminarily caused by the toxic effects of an unidentified substance.
Further research will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The Investigative Committee is actively working to clarify all the details of the incident.
