The Central Bank of Russia has announced that there is a risk of a financial crisis in 2025.
It is indicated that such consequences could be caused by the increase in interest rates in developed countries, which has been observed over the past few years.
The regulator explains: “The main jump in rates occurred in 2022 and 2023,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
It is important to note that such a sharp increase occurred for the first time in the last almost fifteen years of near-zero rates of global central banks.
It is reported that the coming crisis could be comparable to the one observed in 2007-2008.
The regulator noted that in this case, the first alarming signs will appear in the first quarter of 2025. They will reach a peak by the middle of the year.
In addition, the onset of deglobalization of the world economy is allowed. This means the process of the emergence of separate trade blocs and zones.
The reason for this situation is the deterioration of relations between China and the United States.
