A new measure may be introduced in Russia as part of the fight against fraudulent activities.
The Chairman of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, spoke about it on Thursday, September 26.
They are planning to create a mechanism for Russians by which citizens will be notified about a loan issued to them, TASS reports.
Notification that a loan is being issued for a person will be sent to “Gosuslugi”.
The Central Bank and the Ministry of Digital Development are working on this mechanism.
Nabiullina noted that banks need to be required by law to promptly send data about clients to credit bureaus.
Currently, it takes 2 days. Acceleration of this process will help to combat fraudsters more effectively, the head of the Central Bank believes.
The regulator is not only looking for new ways to combat fraudsters, but is also selecting mechanisms that will curb inflation.
The Central Bank has tightened monetary policy and allowed that in October the key rate will be raised to twenty percent.
