There should be no complete certainty that the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation will decrease in 2025.
Advisor to the Chairman of the Central Bank Kirill Tremasov called for monitoring the situation in the economy.
He realized that deviation from the base forecast will affect the key rate, Interfax emphasizes.
Tremasov called for abandoning the belief that the key rate will be reduced in 2025.
There should be no such confidence, he stressed.
The expert explained that the level of the key rate in the new year will depend on the deviation of the economy from the baseline forecast.
He also noted that in 2025, according to forecasts, the average key rate will be 17-20%.
Tremasov said the current rate remains at 21% and could rise in December.
