The Cabinet of Ministers submitted a draft budget for 2025–2027 to the State Duma.
It is reported that the project was introduced with a deficit of 0.5, 0.9 and 1.1 percent of GDP, respectively.
It follows from the relevant document that, among other things, an increase in federal budget revenues is expected, as reported by RIA Novosti .
This figure will increase by 11.6 percent compared to the current 2024.
Upcoming changes
The project reports: “The federal budget will grow from 36.1 trillion Russian rubles to 40.3 trillion Russian rubles.”
As for the subsequent annual periods, there will be a gradual increase in the budget.
The document also provides details regarding the oil and gas deficit. It is emphasized that it will be reduced to 5 percent of GDP in three years.
Similar changes will be recorded in 2027. It is reported that the main sources of financing will be government borrowing.
