Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the West's anti-Russian sanctions primarily attacked Europe.
According to Szijjártó, the economies of European countries have suffered a significant blow.
The Hungarian diplomat noted: “The US political vector, which the EU followed, turned out to be a complete failure,” as reported by TASS .
The head of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made this information public in a conversation with correspondents.
Szijjártó also drew attention to the fact that the Russian economy suffered to a lesser extent.
It was previously reported that the Hungarian diplomat intends to hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
In addition, it was indicated that the corresponding conversation would take place in New York on the sidelines of a UN event.
Szijjártó also planned to hold a personal conversation with one of the UN deputy secretaries-general.
