State Duma Bans Sale of Energy Drinks to Minors
The State Duma has released information that a bill prohibiting the sale of energy drinks to minors was adopted in the second reading.
It is emphasized that such drinks are harmful to the human body.
State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, in particular, noted: “Doctors have confirmed an increased risk of hypertension, heart disease and diabetes from energy drinks,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
A ban on the retail sale of the said product will be initiated throughout the country.

Volodin also added: “The regions will receive additional powers that will allow them to establish order in this matter.”
The bill may come into force on March 1, 2025.
According to the provisions of this regulatory legal act, legal entities that have the right to trade in non-alcoholic energy drinks, including energy drinks, will be limited in their activities.
Thus, these entrepreneurs will not be able to sell their products to minors.
