Fraudsters are deceiving Russians using a new scheme before September 1st.
They use stories about sales and contests at fake online school supply stores.
Fraudsters most often use mailings about sales, Alla Khrapunova, curator of the People's Front platform "Moshelovka", told RIA Novosti .
She explained that scammers announce sales and competitions on behalf of fake online stores.
Russians are receiving letters and SMS messages with links to phishing sites of fake stores.
The victim, having completed the transition, may download malicious software onto the device.
After payment is made on fake websites on the Internet, fraudsters stop contacting buyers of goods.
The expert advises making purchases only on trusted websites on the Internet.
