It has become known that there has been an increase in complaints from Russian citizens about being disconnected from banking services.

This phenomenon is associated with being included in the regulator’s database, where violations by citizens related to suspicious financial transactions are recorded.

Representatives of the Central Bank press service shared this information with the Izvestia portal.

Citizens' appeals are related to the actions of credit institutions, due to which the accounts of Russians end up in the drop database and are blocked.

According to Izvestia’s calculations, in 2023, complaints about fraud accounted for approximately 9% of all appeals.

However, in 2024, based on the results of three quarters of the current year, the number of complaints has doubled - 18.3% versus 9% a year earlier.

It is noted that as a result of the consideration of these complaints, in most cases decisions were made in favor of the clients.
