For Russia, 2025 will be the year of testing a new system of remuneration for public sector employees.

Vladimir Putin announced this on Tuesday, October 29, during his speech at the National Healthcare Congress.

The President stressed that there should be no “disparity in salaries” among public sector employees in Russia, RIA Novosti reports.

He noted that this primarily concerns healthcare workers and teachers, as well as other specialists.

Putin said that in 2025 the authorities will work out a new model for paying public sector workers, which will be fairer.

At the initial stage, it will be tested in a number of pilot regions of the Russian Federation, and starting around 2027, the model will be introduced everywhere.

The head of state recalled that currently the salaries of medical workers are fixed at the average salary in the region.

He pointed out that this level sometimes differs significantly even in neighboring regions.
