The State Duma has proposed a bill limiting budget expenditures on concerts to 1 million rubles.

The initiator of the proposal was the Vice Speaker of the State Duma, Vladislav Davankov.

This way, it is possible to reduce spending on expensive cultural events and redirect funds to healthcare and education, RIA Novosti writes.

In recent years, cases of excessive spending on concerts using state funds have been recorded in Russia.

The bill suggests that, given the decline in regional budget revenues, huge expenditures on concerts should be limited.
