Russia has been accused of violating sanctions.

In particular, Moscow is accused of violating the restrictions imposed on Libya.

This was stated by the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky during a meeting of the UN Security Council, RIA Novosti reports.

Let us recall that a UN resolution has been introduced with regard to Libya. According to it, an embargo on arms supplies has been introduced, restrictions on oil trade exist, and Libyan assets have been frozen.

At the same time, Russia maintains cooperation with Libya, but only within the framework of existing restrictions.

Therefore, Polyansky emphasized, opponents of this union will not be able to play on the contradictions existing within Libya and set Russia at odds with its partner.

In response, the diplomat turned his attention to the activities of the Amentum PMC in the territory of a friendly state. As Libyan journalists found out, this US organization has recently expanded its activities in Tripoli.
