In Russia, a law has been officially adopted on the return of indexation of pensions for working pensioners.
The corresponding decision was signed on Monday, July 8, by Vladimir Putin.
The document is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts. The decision will come into effect on the first day of 2025.

The government had previously stated that the average increase in pensions in this case would be no less than 1.3 thousand rubles.
State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin reported that this decision would affect approximately 7.87 million Russians.
Thus, in 2025, working pensioners will have their payments indexed again. It was suspended in 2016.
Exactly one month passed between Putin’s proposal to return indexation and the adoption of the corresponding law.
This was first announced on June 7 during the president’s participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
On June 26, the State Duma approved the bill, and on July 3, the Federation Council did the same. On July 8, the president approved this decision.
