The Russian frigate Shtandart was denied entry into a Spanish port.
The Spanish authorities did not allow the Russian frigate Shtandart to enter their port of Vigo.
The ship's captain, Vladimir Martus, reported this information in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
Ports in Spain were notified that the Shtandart was not allowed to enter.
The captain explained that the frigate remains at anchor five hundred meters from the coast of Spain.
The day before, France banned the Russian ship from docking in its port.
The head of the association for assistance to seafarers "Mor Glaz" Jean-Paul Elkan reminded that the Shtandart crew will soon run out of water.
Elkan added that the refusal to allow the Russian frigate to dock looks like weakness on the part of the French authorities.
In late June, it was reported that the EU was planning to impose sanctions on 11 cargo ships registered in Russia as part of the sanctions.
