Poland to Start Production of Patriot Air Defense Systems

The Polish Ministry of Defense shared its plans for the future.

As noted by the republic’s defense department, the country is going to begin production of Patriot air defense launchers.

RIA Novosti reports this, citing a message distributed by the Polish Ministry of Defense.

According to the military department, an agreement will be signed between Hutą Stalowa Wola and Raytheon Polska on Monday, August 12.

The signing ceremony will be attended by high-ranking government officials, including Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Defence Secretary Pawel Bejda.

Under this agreement, the above-mentioned companies will be required to produce 48 M903 launchers. These models of launchers are part of the Patriot air defense systems.

It is noted that these components will be produced within the framework of the Wisla program during 2027-2029.

The air defense systems will subsequently enter service with the Polish army.
