Pensions in the Russian Federation will increase from January 1, 2025: who will receive them and how much will they be
In Russia, changes will occur in the pension system from January 1, 2025.
Pensions for working and non-working pensioners will increase by 7.3 percent.
The planned increase is based on projected inflation, the Life.ru article emphasizes.
Some pensioners will receive additional payments in December 2024. Recipients of payments at the beginning of the month will receive one for December and a second for January, taking into account indexation.
In the regions, pensioners will also receive additional payments, the amount of which depends on the decisions of local authorities.
The increase will be 7.3 percent if inflation does not exceed the forecast figures. If inflation increases, the government will conduct additional indexation.
In the new year, pensions will be indexed depending on the economic situation in order to support pensioners.
