Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev promised Russians that they will not be left without fish and red caviar by the New Year.
As the parliamentarian noted, there are no prerequisites for the corresponding goods to increase in price.
Patrushev emphasized: “The price increase is quite speculative,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
In addition, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the fact that some food products from the above-mentioned category are produced in Russia, among other places.
The parliamentarian added: “Russian fishermen are already extracting raw materials in the form of caviar, herring, ivasi and other seafood.”
According to Patrushev, Russian specialists are working in the Azov-Black Sea basin and in the Barents Sea.
Accordingly, as the Russian Deputy Prime Minister emphasized, “there are no objective preconditions for price increases.”
Patrushev also recalled that such rumors arise due to deliberate speculative motives.
