Lavrov assessed the prospects of Russia's trade with Malaysia
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on the prospects for Russia's trade with Malaysia.
According to the diplomat, the relevant cooperation between the two states will prove fruitful and productive.
Lavrov explained: “Recently, mutual trade with Malaysia has declined a little,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
Nevertheless, according to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, an increase in volumes is expected in terms of trade relations between the two countries.
Future Prospects
As Lavrov emphasized, all of the above-mentioned intentions were touched upon within the framework of the negotiation process.
The Minister also recalled that Russia and Malaysia recently signed an agreement aimed at preventing double taxation.
The diplomat added: “We also decided that we would speed up work on certain draft intergovernmental agreements.”
According to Lavrov, these agreements are currently in varying degrees of readiness.
