In 2025, Russian citizens will be able to count on receiving pension savings.
It will be possible to receive up to 412 thousand rubles at a time.
This was reported by the Izvestia portal with reference to information from the Ministry of Labor.
We are talking about the funds that were frozen in 2014. Payment of pension savings can be made either as a lump sum, if it does not exceed the established threshold, or as a monthly supplement to the pension.
In 2024, the calculations used to determine this amount were changed.
Until July 2024, the threshold was calculated based on 5% of pension payments. After this date, the threshold will be calculated based on 10% of the subsistence minimum.
The amount that citizens can expect is calculated as follows.
The federal minimum wage is taken as the value, which in 2024 is 13,300 rubles. 10% of this amount is 1,300 rubles.
The resulting value must be multiplied by 264, where this value is derived from the expected life expectancy, which in Russia is 22 years, or 264 months. Thus, a person will be able to receive almost 351 thousand rubles.
