Getting a child ready for school is a significant part of the expenses in August. " FederalPress " found out how much Russians spent on this process before the new school year.
Less than a quarter of respondents (21%) spend an average of 25–35 thousand rubles on preparing their children for school. The same number of Russians spend 15–25 thousand rubles.
Less than 13% spend at least 15 thousand rubles. At the same time, 8% of parents take out a loan to fully prepare their children for school.
37% of Russians said that their budget does not provide for such expense items because they do not have children.
In 2024, the cost of collecting a first-grader in Russia increased by 7.1% compared to July 2023 - to 32.1 thousand rubles.
