Parents are to be required to support their children until they reach 23 years of age while they are in full-time education.
This initiative was put forward by deputies from the LDPR.
The bill, which will be introduced to the State Duma, will help students live a normal life thanks to financial support from their parents, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the document, parents will be required to support their student children up to the age of 23.
The bill specifies that if there is no agreement between the parents on the payment of alimony, the payments will be determined by the court.
Also, students who cannot be supported by their parents will receive assistance from close relatives.
According to the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, Vladimir Sipyagin, this bill will help students live a normal life.
