In June, Russians were issued almost 3 million cash loans totaling 631.36 billion rubles.
A year earlier, this figure reached 695.28 billion rubles, the Izvestia publication writes, citing experts from the United Credit Bureau.
The average size of a consumer loan was 211 thousand rubles in June.
The average size of this loan has decreased year-on-year to 211 thousand rubles.
The number of loans issued fell by six percent compared to May.
Among Russian regions, Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg are the leaders in terms of volumes of cash loans issued.
