It is no secret that many companies consider their employees to be their most valuable asset.

However, a company is, first and foremost, teamwork, and that is why communication within the company is one of the main conditions for business success.

That's why it's so important not to leave the relationship between a boss and subordinates to chance. Here's how to achieve this.

Know the area in which your subordinate works

Of course, you don't have to be an expert in the narrow field your employee works in. But you should have some idea of his field. For example, your employee is programming microcontrollers.

Naturally, as his boss, you should have an idea of what a microcontroller is, how exactly it is programmed, and what programming languages are used. Although there is no need to know about too many small details.

This way, you will be able to give the employee adequate tasks and demand adequate performance.

Explore different areas of communication

Communication is not only messages in a messenger and not only calls. Of course, personal contact is also very important. But, in addition to this, it is not only what you say that matters, but also how you say it.

Nonverbal cues are just as important as the information you convey.

The posture, movements and look of the person conveying the information must be well planned. Then your message will be received.

Encourage dialogue—a suggestion box isn't enough

Dialogue is a two-way process. The ability to listen and value employees is also very important for more effective communication.

When all you communicate with your employees is just telling them what to do or what you think of them, that's a bad idea.

Let your subordinate speak out, let him state his point of view and the problems that he faces.

Of course, this does not mean that you should immediately do what the employee thinks, and not the boss, but it is also necessary to listen to the employee’s point of view.

Provide moments of relaxation

Formal communication at work should be. If subordinates forget themselves too much and start being familiar, then it will not lead to anything good.

But using only a formal communication style will not build a super successful company. Therefore, it is also important to provide moments of relaxation. Encourage everyone to communicate and discuss issues outside of work.

It is worth organizing informal communication hours, for example, celebrate birthdays, organize joint sports and educational events. Even a simple hike in the mountains will significantly improve the relationship between you and your subordinates.

Earlier it was reported that Norway joined the new package of EU sanctions against Russia.
