Gazprom considers Africa as a potential gas sales market
It has become known which market Gazprom intends to target.
The holding announced its intention to export natural gas to Africa.
The director of Gazprom Export LLC, Dmitry Khandoga, shared these plans on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week, TASS reports.
Handoga recalled that the concern he heads has huge reserves of natural gas, for which the company is looking for markets.
At the same time, delivering blue gold to any country in the world is not a problem thanks to the rapidly developing sea transportation.
That is why the company is busy developing several projects:
- gas motor fuel;
- small-tonnage LNG;
- gas generation.
They can be presented to colleagues from Africa at the African Energy Week in Cape Town.
Handoga stressed that his company is ready to share its experience with Africa and help it develop its gas industry.
He recalled that similar projects have already been implemented in Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and other countries.
